Inspectra is built on Ryan Bressler’s research into using the Fiedler vector to make comparison networks in regards to disruption of clusters. Simply, this tool simplifies the process for finding when a group of data features which act in a coordinated fashion in one condition fail to do so in another condition.
In regards to cancer data, this means a user can identify a group of genes which functionally cooperate in one type (or subtype) of tumor, but are not coordinated in another type of tumor. The upshot is that this methodology could provide a way to identify simple rules for making A/B decisions when histopathology reports and key oncogene expression are not able to do so.
